How to Set Up Chinese Characters on Mac OSX

  1. Open system preferences in the dock
  2. Click on Language and Text in the first row
  3. Click the menu titled: Input Sources at the top
  4. Slide the bar down until you find the Chinese options
  5. Click on the Chinese- Simplified option
  6. You can close out of the box after that is complete
  7. At the top of your screen you will now see an American flag
  8. If you click on the flag, you will now have the option to switch between English and Chinese
  9. To switch to Chinese just click on the Pinyin-Simplified option
